Welcome to Inksight: Scan & Chat Notes. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our note scanning and chat services, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: If you sign in, we collect your email address and basic profile information to sync your documents across devices.
• Document Data: We store the images you capture and the resulting digitized text so you can access, edit, and chat with them in your history.
• Usage Data: We collect anonymous information about how you interact with the app to improve performance and user experience.

2. Data Processing

To provide advanced features like text recognition and document assistance, Inksight securely processes your data:

• Images and text may be processed using secure, third-party cloud-based services.
• The content of your documents is used solely for the purpose of providing the service (transcription, organization, and chat functionality).
• Your data is handled securely and is not used to train third-party models without your explicit consent.

3. Permissions

The app requires the following permissions to function correctly:

• Camera: To capture photos of your notes directly within the app.
• Photo Library: To allow you to import previously taken photos for processing.

4. Data Storage & Security

We take data security seriously:

• Your data is stored using secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption.
• Access to your documents is strictly restricted to you through secure authentication.

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted infrastructure and processing partners to provide our services:

• Backend & Storage: For secure database management and authentication.
• Processing Services: For text digitization and intelligent document assistance.
• Subscription Management: To handle in-app purchases and pro features.

6. Your Rights & Account Deletion

You have full control over your data. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you can do so through the following methods:

• In-App Deletion: Go to Account > Profile Settings and select "Delete Account". This will immediately remove your personal information, documents, and images from our database and storage.
• Manual Request: If you cannot access the app, you can email us at inksight.notes.app@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will process your request and delete all your data within 48 hours.

What data is deleted: Upon account deletion, we permanently remove your email address, profile metadata, all uploaded images of notes, and all transcribed text associated with your account.

Data Retention: Some data may remain in our encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being permanently purged. Transaction records for Pro subscriptions are retained as required by financial regulations and app store policies.
